PUBLIC NOTICE
Oakland Borough – Vacancy Board Chair

The Oakland Borough Council is seeking applications from qualified residents interested in serving as the Vacancy Board Chair.

The Vacancy Board is responsible for assisting the Borough Council in filling vacancies in elective Borough offices when the Council is unable to do so in accordance with the Pennsylvania Borough Code. The Vacancy Board consists of the members of Borough Council (excluding the Mayor) and one registered elector of the Borough who serves as Chair.

Qualifications:

• Must be a registered elector (registered voter) of Oakland Borough.
• Must be willing to serve impartially and in accordance with the Pennsylvania Borough Code.
• Must be available to attend meetings if the Vacancy Board is convened.

• Full name
• Address
• Telephone number and email address (if available)
• Brief statement describing your qualifications and interest in serving
